Nursing
Residential nursing care, with registered nurses in the building throughout the day, in a house rather than a ward.
Hailsham, East Sussex
Ersham House is a purpose-built home for up to 40 people, in large single bedrooms, between Hailsham, Polegate and Eastbourne. Registered nurses are on site throughout the day.

The house
Most bedrooms have an en-suite. Rooms have a television and nursing furniture. Around them: a sun room, an activities room, more than one lounge and dining room, a library, a hairdressing and relaxation room, and private lounges where families can sit.
Outside there is a secure landscaped garden with a fountain, a quieter sensory area, and a bus stop on the road. Hailsham is a market town. Eastbourne and Polegate are a short drive.

Care
Residential nursing care, with registered nurses in the building throughout the day, in a house rather than a ward.
A dedicated dementia wing and a sensory garden. Staff take specialist dementia training, and the home has its own dementia trainer.
Residential care, including dementia residential care, with nurses on site when someone needs a more specialist hand.
The home also supports adults under and over 65, including people living with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.
Days
An activities coordinator plans a programme around each person: time alone, time in a group, local singers, and trips out, including Eastbourne seafront. The home keeps links with schools, nurseries, and businesses in the town.
